“We have retained Angie to design two large projects, and we have been very happy with her work and with the results. One project was a complete kitchen redesign, requiring her to rearrange structural elements and make a 1916-era house work for modern life. The result was so nice that the kitchen was featured in a magazine. The second project was a new freestanding garage which presented some engineering and esthetic challenges. She has a great sense of style, and in both cases the new construction blended perfectly with the existing house.
Angie is an excellent source of information for all the things an old-house owner needs: contractors, structural engineers, painters, and landscapers. She also seems to have a good working relationship with the city permit office (at least in Alameda) and can avoid any unnecessary snags there. Working with Angie has been easy, and we would certainly do it again.”

“We had Angie design an addition/family room for our house a few years ago. The house is "special"... tudor style (or at least an American interpretation of the tudor style), built by an architect as his own house back in 1942, with open beam ceilings, lots of leaded glass windows and on a lagoon. In addition to many style requirements there were also quite a few physical requirements like maximum height, footprint and the proximity to water.
Angie's design continues to amaze our guests when we tell them the family room is a recent addition, they simply can't tell that it was added on later. Proving that this addition is in good harmony with the rest of the house. As a result, we recently hired Angie again to help us with renovating and to some extent redesigning a 120 year old victorian house. ”

“I recommend Angie Klein. Angie was the architect/designer for our complete kitchen and
bath remodel. We couldn't be happier with the results. She made the design and
construction process pretty painless, as Angie was easy to work with, met
all deadlines, handled permitting and some product selection. She will do as much or as little as you need her to do.”

“I hired Angela Klein to do my biggest renovation to date: a master bedroom/bath addition that was done on a modest budget. Angie not only designed a room that matched the rest of my small bungalow, but she suggested fixtures and finishes that were green and inexpensive, such as a solatube to light an older bathroom and flourescent lighting throughout. Always professional and easy to contact, Angie was also open to changes in the design that were in keeping with my conservative budget. She was really great to work with.”
